Learn the fundamental techniques of the Masterson Method Equine Bodywork program. Taught at this rescue facility that has done so much for animals of all kinds you will be offering two days of relaxation and rebalancing while learning how to help equines in your own world.
Understanding how horses hold and release tension is key to this method and when horses can relax when we bring awareness to these areas, you have gained their trust and created a deeper connection with them.
Since 2010, Laughing Pony Rescue (LPR) has saved over 1,400 horses, donkeys and farm animals from abuse, neglect and slaughter. Rescued horses in our therapy program have helped numerous individuals struggling from a variety of illnesses. Our educational programs continue to bring awareness of animal abuse and protective programs to communities throughout San Diego County, California.

Join us for three days of learning about the science behind what makes horses do what they do and how we can learn to communicate more clearly with them.
Dr. Steve Peters, Neuropsychologist, horseman, and co-author of “Evidence Based Horsemanship”, will be at the new Happy Dog Ranch to lecture on the ins and outs of the horse’s brain and the science behind how they think, feel, and process the world around them.
He will be joined by equine clinician and author, Mark Rashid, as well as Jim Masterson, the founder of The Masterson Method®. Both equine professionals will add their perspectives on where bodywork and training intersect with brain science, and how we can use all three perspectives to understand and deepen the relationship with our horses.
This three day seminar is for those who are seeking to expand their knowledge of horses, and will include not only a lecture segment, but practical demonstrations, an equine brain dissection, and a round table discussion with Dr. Peters, Jim and Mark.
